Getting Ready for Christmas 2014

Last weekend was the tree lighting at Crocker Park in Westlake.  Can't believe your second Christmas is almost here.  You recognize Santa Claus and say Ho Ho Ho when you see him or hear his name.  The other day we were reading through the nursery rhyme book that Great Grandma recorded for you and we got to Hickory Dickory Dock, you started quaking like a duck because you thought that's what we were saying.  You don't say quack though, you actually make a very accurate duck sound like Donald Duck.

First post: 15 months old

I meant to start this so much sooner, but better late than never I suppose.

To bring you up to speed quickly, neither your mom nor I got any sleep for the first week you were here-like any. I hardly remember anything prior to month 3 and I feel bad about that, but since then it has only gotten better. By about 4 months you were sleeping well through the night (about 10 hours) and I thank you for that.

This summer has been an absolute blast. I am so thankful that your mom is a teacher and was able to spend all summer with you. Seems like you loved it - I only wish I could have been there more. My highlights start with the Memorial Day parade in Independence. You sat in your wagon and loved every minute.

You also took your first steps later that day!

Soon after that we went to Panama City Beach where we learned exactly how much you loved the water and sand.

I hope to get you back to the ocean as often as possible, but you seemed to enjoy Grandma's pool just as much all summer. We also celebrated your 1st birthday in Panama City!

Unofficially... - We obviously had a party when we got home!
